Bustin Boards: Heart And Soul Of New Yorker’s Longboard

Just had the oportunity to visit the Bustin Boards shop in New York, which is definately the best longboard shop in NY (and I affirm that without any fear to make a mistake, as I felt like it has the heart and soul of the new yorker’s longboard). For those who are around, it is a necessary visit, and spend a long time talking with the crew, testing the Bustin models Just in front of the shop (Yes, they Will not freak out). And Just after the ridding, you can put your preferences together into a brand new model for you. I must highlight that beyond the great variety of good products they make, they also offer all other major brands.

On my first tour in the shop, I got a great welcome smile from Solomon, who took me around the shop and it`s offices, underground, the deck`s paint shop, and all. The biggest difference is the people; all very welcome and prepared to attend the newbe and the Professional longboarder. In case you want the highest attention, show up during the week, because they are crowded on Saturdays. Solomon also confirmed that they have a “big ride” with costumers and friends every Sunday, so check the places and times to meet.

On my second visit, Jeff was my guide and have learned some important info about the longboard in the city, which was notable the influence Bustin has in the community, participating in art shows, races and in the yearly “Brooklyn Bomb”, and passed from 3000 to 5000 participants.

Also, NY is one of the few cities in the US, where skateboarding in the city is legal. On Jeff`s words, “You can cross a read light in a skate, and no cop Will fine you”. I witnessed tons of longboarders cruising the city, and one of the nicest and beautiful places to skate is with no doubt, the Central Park. If you can, take your longboard and enjoy the city on 04 wheels. Or stop by Bustin Boards, and Pack a brand new baby.

Thank you guys!!! See you in Brazil soon!!!
Abs,
Alex.
